More on the A8812:
I want to use this primarily as a raft trailer and understand there is a raft kit available for it (roller & winch). I would also like to use it to occasionally haul a Sub-Compact tractor that weighs about 2000 lbs. It looks like the trailer will handle this weight but:
Will the supplied ramps handle loading of the tractor from the rear?
Would the roller have to be removed to do this?
Would stabilizer legs on the rear be required for loading? (I see items 42166 & 42042 Stabilizer leg un Miscellaneous Parts)
The raft kit can be made but would need to be taken off to load anything in the back. The trailer will hold the load but the ramps won't. The stab legs are a good idea.

Hi, I have an 8612 drive on/off and was wondering if Aluma sells a clamshell cover for these? If so, how much? If not, could you suggest a mfg? Thanks.
We don't--we use to work with a company out of Green Bay WI but that was over 5 years ago.
Thanks

I purchased a 2011 7710H trailer with electric brakes. The nameplate shows a GVW of 3000 lbs. Why isn't the rating set at 3500 since I believe that is the actual rating of the axle but is only rated at 3000 without brakes? Also, when I dropped the tailgate arms they knocked the rear red reflectors off. How can I obtain replacement and have they been modified to eliminate this problem? By the way, I love the trailer, it handles great with a 1000lb+ UTV aboard.
It should have been rated at 3500# if it had brakes-we can send you new stickers if you want. Let us know where to send the reflectors and we'll get them to you.
Thanks for buying Aluma! |

What size are the tires on the A8812 ATV Trailer? The web page says 185/ST13 LRD which makes no sense to me; shouldn't it be something like ST185/nnR13 with nn being the profile number?
It is a 13" radial tire with LRD(load range D)

I purchased a 5410t to haul my Harley. After I installed my wheel chock the bed will no longer stay tilted up. The one that came with the trailer looks like one used on trunk lid's. Is there a heavy duty shock cylinder availiable to hold the bed up???
We do have a little heavier one-120# |

Is it easy to install an Aluma truck bed, could we do it ourselves? We are farmers and want to buy just one. Do you have instructions on how to do that? Thanks.
It is fairly complicated--we don't have any instructions, sorry. |

I have a 6314H trailer which is used to carry @ 1400#s of ATVs. The roads have some rather steep hills. I was wondering if electric brakes could be installed?
Thanks
They can be--it is fairly complicated--we don't sell any of the components to make the change. You would have to buy it through the axle company--dexteraxle.
